Our Purpose

We are a group of musicians from Michigan and Indiana who enjoy playing and entertaining with a variety of German, Austrian and Bavarian "Oktoberfest" style folk music! The band was begun as an offspring of John Fleming’s German Band ensemble at Allegheny College Band Camp for Adult Musicians in Pennsylvania in 2002.  Members enjoyed playing the folk music so much that Chris & John Griffith spearheaded an effort to continue playing the music together at home in West Michigan.

This small group gathered more musicians, members of community bands all over Michigan and Indiana, and now have a membership of 40+.  New members are always welcome.

Practice and pleasure are our principal goals. Fun is the name of the game, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.  Rehearsals include a "beer break" and a "pot luck dinner" afterward.

Ein Prosit - "A toast to you"!
